About Me
Hi! My name is Paige Bailey. I'm a recent graduate of Virginia Tech, having received a bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising and Design and a minor in Business. I aspire to be a fashion designer, and to someday create my own line. Along with fashion, I am also very passionate about art and frequently enjoy painting and drawing. This site is a way to display all my work, including my designs and various school projects.
During the Spring semester in 2018, I was lucky enough to get the chance to study abroad in Florence, Italy. There, I was able to expand my knowledge of the fashion industry as well as Italian fashion. I studied at the Florence University of the Arts, with classes including Apparel Design, CAD / Advanced Patternmaking, Retail Management, and Fashion Forecasting. In these classes I was able to design my own garments, complete a fashion forecasting projection, and meet with Italian designers and brands. I was also lucky enough to be able to travel to various cities around Italy, such as Milan, Venice, Rome, Bari, and Cinque Terre, and to Athens and Santorini, Greece. My time abroad was a once in a lifetime experience, and I believe it greatly aided in improving my fashion skills, becoming a more independent person, and understanding and appreciating various cultures.
