Pucci for Soul Train








"Pucci for Soul Train" was a project constructed through my study abroad course, Apparel Design, from the Florence University of the Arts. The goal of this project was to design a capsule collection based on the styles of the 70's show "Soul Train". One design was then chosen based off creativity and alignment with the store's target consumers and constructed using vintage Emilio Pucci fabric. Along with two other student's designs, these garments were shown at the Semester Showcase and then sold at the University's store, FLY Fashion Loves You.
Shown above is the mood board that I created for the class to use as inspiration for their designs. My capsule collection included 7 designs featuring pants, skirts, dresses, and tops. Emilio Pucci fabric was used throughout these designs along with black cotton knit and taupe colored leather. I constructed patterns and constructed the black shift dress and reversible cape, which are shown below.
